Last updated: May 19, 2026

This is template copy provided as a starting point. Replace it with your own privacy text reviewed by counsel before relying on it.

1. Who we are

Tablejoy ("we", "us") provides a reservation widget and admin dashboard for restaurants and hospitality teams. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what rights you have.

2. Data we collect

  • Account data: name, email, hashed password, role.
  • Restaurant data: venue name, address, branding, menus, services, photos, capacity rules.
  • Reservation data: guest name, email, phone, party size, time, and any notes guests provide.
  • Usage & analytics: pages visited, device, IP, basic performance metrics.
  • Cookies: a small number of cookies for authentication and analytics (see Cookies below).

3. How we use it

We use your data to operate the Service, authenticate users, render the widget with the correct branding, take and manage reservations, provide support, improve the product, and meet legal obligations.

4. Legal bases (GDPR)

Where GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (operating the Service for you), legitimate interests (product improvement, security, fraud prevention), consent (optional analytics/marketing), and legal obligations (tax, accounting).

5. Sharing & sub-processors

We share data only with vetted sub-processors needed to run the Service — hosting, database, email delivery, analytics, and payment processing. We do not sell personal data.

6. International transfers

Where data is transferred outside your region, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

7. Retention

We keep account and reservation data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes. You can request deletion at any time (see Your rights).

8. Your rights

Subject to local law you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing. Email privacy@tablejoy.app and we will respond within the statutory time limits.

9. Cookies

We use a small set of cookies: a session cookie for authentication, and optional analytics cookies. You can clear cookies from your browser at any time; doing so will sign you out.

10. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice.
